Officials with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPCSO) announced Sunday the arrest of a man who allegedly threatened a Deputy just north of Horizon City.
According to an EPCSO news release, on Friday, October 8, Deputies were sent to the block of 100 Ascension about a subject disturbance.
When deputies arrived, they say the man pulled an axe out of the back of a truck and used it to threaten the Deputy.
“(The) Deputy deployed his tazer, incapacitating the subject,” officials said.
Deputies arrested 34-year-old Gabriel Gutierrez and charged him with Aggravated Assault on a Public Servant.
