El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPCSO) officials announced Tuesday afternoon the death of a Horizon City man after a dirt bike crash.
According to the EPCSO, on October 12, at about 7:00 am their Patrol units sent to the 1200 block of Zapata, behind SISD’s Desert Wind Elementary, about a motorcycle accident.
Deputies assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Special Traffic investigations section responded and found that the rider of the off-road dirt bike was not wearing a helmet and had crashed into a rock wall.
Officials identify the rider as 32-year-old Eric Estevez from Horizon City.
Officials with Sheriff’s Office added that they “encourage motorcycle riders to wear a helmet and to never operate off-road motorcycles and ATV’s on roadways.”
