EPCSO looking for teens who set off extinguishers at County Courthouse parking garage

El Paso County Sheriff’s Office officials are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating teens who set off fire extinguishers at the El Paso County Courthouse parking garage, causing EPFD to respond.

EPCSO officials say the incident happened on December 15, 2021, at 7:15 p.m., when an apparent fire was reported at the El Paso County
Courthouse.

El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Deputies investigated the incident and found that unknown juveniles broke the fire extinguisher cases and retrieved four extinguishers from floors 3, 5, 6, and 7. They were then seen on the 3rd floor spraying the fire extinguishers all over the county parking garage.

The spray, mistaken for smoke, caused some to report a fire at the garage, forcing First Responders to respond to the alleged smoke.

EPCSO officials say the juveniles then exited the parking lot and ran towards Apodaca Bail Bonds in Downtown El Paso.

If anyone has information on the possible identity of these four juveniles, please contact Detective E Orozco at 538-2185.
