EPCSO searching for sex offender who failed to return to facility on Monday

El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPCSO) Deputies are again on the lookout for a sex offender who left the Far East El Paso facility on Monday.

According to a release by EPCSO, on April 5, 2021,  Santos Salas left the El Paso Transitional Living Center located at 1650 Horizon Boulevard, two miles south of Horizon City, and across the street from the Sparks neighborhood.

EPCSO officials say Salas removed his ankle monitor and left the facility on foot, and his whereabouts are now unknown.

Law enforcement officials add that Salas’  sex offense is for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, the victim being a 13-year-old female and is currently on parole for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements.

Salas is now wanted on a Parole Violation and an additional charge of Sex Offenders Duty to Register is forthcoming.

If anyone has information on the location of Salas, they are asked to call the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office at 915-538-2008.
