EPCSO: Sex offender who failed to return in December arrested in San Angelo

UPDATE: As of January 3, 2021, David Torres is in custody and booked into the Tom Green County Jail by the San Angelo Police Department.

El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPCSO) officials are asking for the public’s help in locating another sex offender who failed to return to the far east El Paso facility on Monday.

According to a release from EPCSO, on December 7, 2020, David Torres never returned to the El Paso Multi-Use Facility located at 1700 Horizon Boulevard, some two miles south of Horizon City limits, and just across the street from the Sparks neighborhood

EPCSO official say that Torres was allowed to go to work but never returned to the facility and his whereabouts are now unknown. He is now wanted on a parole violation warrant and an additional charge of Sex Offenders Duty to Register is now forthcoming.

Officials add his sex offense is for Sexual Assault the victim being a 16-year-old female and he is currently on parole for Failure to Comply Sex Offenders Duty to Register.
