EPCSO’s Explorer Post 2005 headed to National Competition in Arizona

El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Explorer Post 2005 and Community Service Section will be participating in the 2016 National Law Enforcement Exploring Conference and Competition.

The Sheriff’s Office Explorer Post and Community Section have been preparing and training for the conference and competition over the last two years.  The conference and competition will take place July 11th– 16th, 2016 at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona.

During the week-long event, explorer posts from across the nation will participate in team and individual competitions, seminars, demonstrations, exhibits, recreation and fun.

The competition focuses on law enforcement response in various categories: arrest and search, burglary in progress, crisis negotiation, officer down, emergency field first aid, traffic accident investigation, and traffic stops.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Explorer Post 2005 competes in national competition every two years.
