EPFD hosts donation sites for Center Against Sexual and Family Violence back-to-school supply drive.

This week, the El Paso Fire Department will host three donation sites for the Center Against Sexual and Family Violence back-to-school initiative between July 20th and 22nd.

“Families at our shelter often enter not knowing how long they will stay,” CASFV officials shared. “We hope with the help of our shelter staff and generous donations, our shelter can be a place of both refuge and growth.”

All wish list items brought to selected fire stations will support the school-aged children at CASFV’s emergency shelter. Last year over 800 children came through CASFV’s emergency shelter.

“Your back-to-school donations free us to direct revenue towards repairs to our facilities and other services,” shelter officials added.

Here are the items needed: Pens, pencils. tissues, backpacks, crayons, markers, school uniforms (khaki pants and navy-blue polos), composition books, glue sticks, notebooks, construction paper, hand sanitizer and gift cards to Target or Walmart.
