EPFD hosts Safety Day Saturday, free fire extinguishers for 1st 100 visitors

As part of Fire Prevention Week, the El Paso Fire Department has partnered with Western States Fire Protection Systems and Henderson Fire Systems to give out FREE fire extinguishers to the first 100 residents who visit the new EPFD “Community Fire House” on Saturday Oct. 10 beginning at 9 a.m.

The new Community Center is located at 5415 Trowbridge.

Residents can also bring their own extinguishers to be inspected and/or re-certified. The El Paso Fire Department will also provide free safety information and fire extinguisher use classes.

People can also sign up for home safety surveys, evacuation planning and/or free smoke alarm instillations.

The event is for the whole family and there will be activities for children as well.
