EPISD Education Foundation awards Classroom Impact Grants

Twenty-five educators will get a little help from the EPISD Education Foundation next school year to implement innovative lessons in their classrooms.

The Foundation this week announced the winners of its annual Classroom Impact Grant designed to support effective teaching and learning throughout the District. A total of $20,000 were awarded.

The teachers applied for the grants last spring and will be receiving their funds to be used during the 2021-22 school year.

“We are proud to be able to award more than $20,000 in grants to our deserving teachers this year,” said Russell Wiggs, Foundation president. “We look forward to hearing about how these funds make a difference for our teachers and students.”

The foundation held off on announcing the grants during the pandemic but expects that the teachers will be able to put the money to good use beginning this fall.

The EPISD Education Foundation raises money to award scholarships for students and impact grants for teachers.
