EPISD seeking resident’s input ahead of Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Program application

As part of an effort to secure additional relief funds for El Paso ISD, district officials are asking for resident’s input regarding learning loss and COVID-19 recovery.

“Data shows that the COVID-19 pandemic may have had a significant impact on student learning, both across the nation and in the El Paso Independent School District,” EPISD officials shared Monday. “Specifically, attendance rates and failure rates illustrate the direct hardship the COVID-19 pandemic has had on El Paso ISD.”

Officials share that El Paso ISD will apply for additional relief funds from the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) III Program, and are requesting input during this planning phase.

“We are asking all stakeholders (families, community members, and employees) to complete a short survey to help the district determine what to prioritize with the potential ESSER III funds,” district officials added.

For those taking the survey, click “next” (or if you are taking the survey on a mobile device click the > arrow) to complete the survey.  Deadline to complete the survey is June 7th.
