EPISD’s 13th Annual Literacy Dads & Kids event set for Saturday

The El Paso Independent School District’s Family Engagement Department will organize an event aimed at getting more fathers, grandfathers, uncles and male role models to read to and with their children in an attempt at increasing literacy levels in the region.

The theme of the event this year is “Daddy, please read to me.” Fathers and other paternal figures are encouraged to attend and to bring the family’s favorite book to read.

The 13TH Annual Literacy Dads and Kids Day event is scheduled for 8 a.m. this Saturday, Oct. 10, at Logan Elementary School, 3200 Ellerthorpe Ave. The event will take place in the multipurpose room.

For more information please contact Albert Segovia at 230-2554 or Pete Juarez at 230-2555.
