EPISD’s free Summer Meal Program starts Monday

Free breakfast and lunch will be available to children ages 1 to 18 at several El Paso Independent School District campuses during the summer break thanks to the Summer Food Service Program.

Curbside meal distribution will be provided at 33 EPISD campuses from June 21 through July 23.

All curbside meals (breakfast and lunch) will be distributed from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Mondays through Fridays. Friday’s distribution includes meals for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Parents and guardians should  note that a special July 5 meal schedule will be posted the week prior to distribution. The weekly curbside menu is advertised on the EPISD Food & Nutrition Services website and social media channels, as well as in a weekly text messages and emails sent to parents.

Meals will be provided for any child ages 1 to 18, and the child need not be a student in EPISD. Children need not be present to receive the meals. However, parents or guardians must present one of the following documents for verification:

  • Official document from any school to demonstrate enrollment
  • Report card
  • Birth certificate
  • Student ID card

Parents who pick up meals for their children will be given a verification card at the curbside and they will be required to pick up all meals at that campus from then on.
