EPWater’s TecH2O Education Center working to educate local students on water resources

El Paso Water wants students to appreciate water at a local level by introducing the foundations for a lifelong appreciation of our regional water resources.

“As we continue through this unprecedented school year, district leaders and community partners can ensure that students have access to relevant environmental learning and still fulfill TEK requirements by participating in this call to action,” officials with El Paso Water TecH2O Education Center shared.

An essential part of engaging students is to educate them at an early age. To that end, El Paso Water is offering FREE TEKS aligned regional focused lessons.

  • Developed by local science educators
  • Lessons for fourth, fifth and sixth graders
  • Developed to guide you and your students to appreciate this precious resource through fun and easy to understand activities

Center officials add that all El Paso Science and Water units contain a teacher resource that explains the science behind the lab or activity and lab videos that show how to do each experiment.

Those educators that take ACTION will receive a special recognition on social media as well as receive a set of water education materials for their classroom.
