ESD: Use Citizen Collection Stations for Spring Cleaning

The City of El Paso Environmental Services Department (ESD) is ready to help residents do some spring cleaning and clear their homes of clutter and unwanted trash by taking advantage of the Citizen Collection Stations.

The Citizen Collection Stations (CCS) are public drop-off sites for trash, household hazardous waste, bulky items, and recyclables. The sites are free to residents and all that is needed is a recent water bill and matching identification. However, no construction or demolition material will be accepted.

In addition, the CCS offer many spring-cleaning items for free, including reusable paint, mulch, and reusable household products.

The collection stations are also equipped with a Community Tool Shed, which allow residents to rent yard tools such as lawnmowers, shovels, and rakes.

There are four CCS:
· Northeast – 4507 Honda Pass
· Central – 2492 Harrison
· Westside – 121 Atlantic
· Eastside – 1034 Pendale

For more information on the Citizen Collections Stations, call the ESD at 311 or visit their website.
