New Exhibit at UTEP Library Special Collections opens Friday

The C.L. Sonnichsen Special Collections Department will open its latest exhibit, “Exploring the Document Mineshaft: Fifty Years of Archives at the UTEP Library.”

The exhibit features a reception from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Friday, September 22 in the Special Collections Department, 6th floor, University Library. The event is free and open to the public.

September 2017 marks the 50th anniversary of the University’s Archives Department, which became Special Collections. The exhibit recounts the history of the archived collections through photographs, rare books, maps and artifacts.

The event will have refreshments and performances by the Deming Fusiliers.

This exhibit will be open to the public during business hours through February 2018.
