Fabens ISD to delay additional students returning to campus for 2 weeks
Fabens Independent School District officials announced Wednesday afternoon their decision to delay additional students returning to campus for at least two weeks.
“Fabens ISD has reviewed the latest instructional model survey results from parents. After receiving guidance from local health authorities, today, October 7, 2020, the district has decided to delay campus entry of additional students for at least two weeks,” officials shared via a news release.
According to district officials, the delay is due to increased hospitalization and positivity rates.
“The health and safety of all of the Fabens Community continues to be our top priority,” district officials added.
District officials also said that students who were already attending on campus instruction may continue to attend.
“Fabens ISD will continue to monitor the data presented by the El Paso Health Department and determine a date for admitting the additional face-to-face students requested in the latest survey.”
