FEMA to provide new Flood Maps; El Paso properties may receive new flood zone designation

Friday afternoon, city officials announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has issued Preliminary Flood Maps for the City of El Paso that may affect property flood zone designations.

“To determine if your property flood zone designation may be changing, visit the City of El Paso website and click on the Flood Zones banner,” city officials shared.

Instructions on how to use the digital viewer and frequently asked questions can be found on the website. Final maps will be issued at a later date yet to be determined by FEMA.

Property owners are strongly encouraged to view the digital map on the website and learn of any flood zone changes.
