Progress321, in partnership with the FEMAP Foundation, announced the date of the second annual Concierto321 fundraising event held this year on May 6th at 6:00PM in the evening.
This year’s event will feature local musical performers Aaron Goldfarb, Carla Riojas, and headliner The Chamanas. The event will feature a cocktail party and rooftop concert with beautiful views of Downtown El Paso held on the rooftop of FEMAP’s School of Nursing in Ciudad Juarez.
Along with new musical performers, the event will also include a limited edition signed silkscreen print by local artist DiosPerro. All funds raised from ticket sales and sponsorships will go directly towards Nursing School Scholarships and to the FEMAP Micro-Finance Program. Last year the event raised more than $27,000 and was split between the two programs.
On average, more than 100 nursing school students per semester receive scholarships to help cover the modest $43 monthly tuition. With an average loan amount of $350, the Micro-Finance Program helped 36 individuals to build better lives for their families.
Progress321 is a non-profit organization that exists to make El Paso, Texas and the greater Paso del Norte region ‘the next best place to live and work” by convening and enabling vibrant, active and spirited young professionals to improve the region’s economy and quality of life.
Located in El Paso, Texas, on the US/MX border, the FEMAP Foundation along with FEMAP in Ciudad Juarez provide links between the two cities and countries in order to improve the quality of life of families living in poverty through health, education, micro-finance and community programs for children. The collaboration between FEMAP Foundation and FEMAP is an example of the goodwill that exists between both countries and peoples.
