Final Streetcar Sidewalk Work set to Begin on Father Rahm Avenue

Beginning next week, crews from Paso del Norte Trackworks will begin additional sidewalk work on Father Rahm Avenue between Santa Fe Street and Kansas Street in South El Paso.

“This additional work allows the Camino Real Regional Mobility Authority to deliver a more complete sidewalk than was called for in the original streetcar plans,” said Raymond Telles, Executive Director of the CRRMA.

He adds, “Because the we recognize the importance of pedestrian connectivity to homes and businesses in South El Paso, we are committed to delivering this additional work while minimizing the impact to residents, shoppers and merchants.”

The work will be completed only in small sections to limit the impact on a given home or business. The sidewalk work will be completed in November.
