Crews set to Install 1st Rails for Streetcar Project; Street Closures Expand

Lane closures which have been in place along Oregon Street for several weeks, will expand this week as crews from Paso del Norte Trackworks prepare to begin laying the first rail associated with the El Paso Streetcar project.

Oregon Street will close to southbound traffic, but remain`n open to northbound traffic, between Cincinnati Avenue and University Avenue after the morning commute on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. This closure will give PDNT crews more room to work as they make final preparations to lay rail next week, according to the Camino Real Regional Mobility Authority.
