Football Fan Day to be Held at Minerpalooza

UTEP football will hold its annual “Fan Appreciation Day” on Friday, Aug. 28 in conjunction with the ever-popular Minerpalooza.

A pep rally that will feature the UTEP football team, men’s and women’s basketball teams, Marching Miners, UTEP Cheerleaders and the Golddiggers will begin at 6:45 p.m. (MT) in the P-9 parking lot (right next to Kidd Field/Sun Bowl).

After the pep rally, fans will be able to obtain autographs from their favorite football players in the Larry K. Durham Center at 7:30 p.m. Posters will be provided by UTEP Athletics and fans will be allowed to bring one extra item of their own to get signed by the athletes; the plus-one item limit will be strictly enforced.

After getting paraphernalia signed, fans are encouraged to stick around for the 25th anniversary of Minerpalooza, which is considered the biggest pep rally of the year for UTEP. There will be carnival games, food booths and live music on stage to keep everyone entertained.
