Four Hornedo Tornadoes showed off their technology skills and earned a spot at the 2021 National Technology Student Association Virtual Competition.
The students who will represent EPISD and their school at nationals are:
- Srinith Chintalapalle, sixth grade, in video game design.
- Sejal Basava, seventh grade, in website design.
- Kelly Dang, eighth grade, in children’s stories and digital photography.
- Amiya Zope, eighth grade, in video game design and website design.
The Technology Student Association (TSA) provides student members the opportunity to explore a wide variety of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education and career-interest areas.
All TSA middle school competitions and high school competitions are correlated with national STEM standards and can be integrated into and enhance STEM curriculum. Participation in TSA competitions allows TSA members to apply technology and engineering skills in challenging and innovative ways.
The students will compete in nationals in June.
