Frontier Airlines Announces New, Non-Stop Flights from El Paso to Chicago, Denver

During a Tuesday morning news conference, the City of El Paso and Frontier Airlines announced new, non-stop flights from El Paso International Airport to Chicago O’Hare International Airport, in addition to previously announced non-stop flights to Denver International Airport.

“More non-stop options are great for El Pasoans and their pocketbooks, it is a wonderful thing to see that national carriers are recognizing the economic growth and exciting potential our wonderful city has to offer,” Mayor Dee Margo said.

Over the past year, airlines at El Paso International Airport have added non-stop flights to Las Vegas, San Diego and Denver along with seasonal, non-stop flights to Oakland and Orlando/Sanford.

“Adding air service and improving connectivity to and from El Paso is essential to making our region competitive in the market for economic expansion,” City Manager Tommy Gonzalez said.

Tickets to both destinations are now on sale. Frontier will operate an Airbus A320 family aircraft on both routes.

The Denver flights will commence March 9, 2019; Chicago flights will begin on April 8, 2018.

On Thursdays and Sundays:

  • Flight from Chicago departs 10:02 a.m., arrives in El Paso 12:30 p.m.
  • Flight from El Paso departs 1:45 p.m., arrives in Chicago 6:00 p.m.

On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays:

  • Flight from Denver departs 3:00 p.m., arrives in El Paso 5:00 p.m.
  • Flight from El Paso departs 5:55 p.m., arrives in Denver 7:59 p.m.

  1. El Paso needs nonstop flights to San Francisco and Seattle as well! and maybe by other major air carriers. If this city is trying to attract Amazon to El Paso, then connecting El Paso and Seattle would be a smart move also adding San Francisco as a nonstop destination.
There’s nothing like flying over Phoenix or just by passing it altogether to reach more attractive important destinations.
It’s still a long shot for El Paso to get Amazon to come here, Mayor Dee Margo has his heart in the right place! and I’m wishing Frontier Airlines great success.
