Gallery: Former Mayor Oscar Leeser holds fundraiser for his Mayoral campaign

Tuesday evening, former Mayor Oscar Leeser held a fundraiser and mingled for about an hour among invited family and guest at the home of Shelley Mozelle, his campaign treasurer.

Sheriff Richard Wiles introduced the former mayor in front of 150 invited guests, who listened as Leeser gave a short description outlining his vision for El Paso and its future during his upcoming run for the office he once held three years ago.

Our very own Ruben Ramirez was there and we bring you his view of the event in this gallery.

**Editor’s note: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated that Mr. Leeser was officially announcing his run for Mayor of El Paso during this gathering.  We apologize for the error.

About Ruben R. Ramirez

Home grown product of El Paso, Texas, 1973 graduate of Austin High School, Honorably Discharged from United States Marine Corps 1976, after serving for 3 years. My journalism career began in 1976 with the El Paso Herald-Post and in 1997 after 21 years, when the HP closed down I went to work for KDBC-TV Channel 4, local CBS affiliate for 14 months, then signed on with the El Paso Times for another 21 years. I recently retired in January 2019 and am now a Freelance Photographer and back where my career began with the El Paso Herald-Post WEB version. So here's to 21 more years hopefully with the news organization that gave me my start.
