On Friday, COVID-19 survivor Roberto Mata returned to The Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus to thank and bless the staff who he attributes to saving his life.
Mata, who last year spent 47 days in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) battling COVID-19 and fighting for his life, returned to the hospital determined to show his gratitude.
“There were many days when his family and doctors weren’t sure that he would survive,” hospital officials shared. “It was an emotional day for the staff to be reunited with Mata and see him doing so well.”
Mata offered a special blessing and thanked staff for the lifesaving care they provided and have provided to him and all the patients whose lives are saved by the work they day.
