The El Paso Chihuahuas completed their first shutout of the season Saturday, defeating the Las Vegas 51s (Mets affiliate) 7-0. Tyrell Jenkins pitched six shutout innings, continuing an excellent string of starts by El Paso hurlers.

Franchy Cordero went 2-for-4 with a triple and high solo home run to center field. Cordero has four hits this season, with all of them going for extra bases. Catcher Tony Cruz had two hits and three RBIs in his first game this year.
