Gallery+Story: El Paso International Airport unveils new mural

Wednesday morning, El Paso International Airport (EPIA) officials, local leaders and dignitaries unveiled the installation of a new mural created by artists Jeremiah Navarro and Dave Navarro.

Jeremiah and Dave were selected after their participation in the well known ‘El Paso Strong’ mural on Cotton Street.

“This mural will be a memorable sendoff to those traveling out of El Paso,” Director of Aviation Sam Rodriguez shared. “As passengers begin to fly again, we want to ensure their comfort which includes elevating their safety  as well as their spirit.”

Included in that project was the restoration of the wall and the removal of tile work that was beyond repair

“The prominent wall located east st of the terminal building is a great place to showcase local talent, as it is seen by all who drive by the airport’s front entrance,” EPIA officials added.

The new mural is a part of the recently completed Landscape and Lighting project constructed by El Paso firm Jordan Foster

Our very own Andres ‘Ace’ Acosta was there and we bring you his view of the event via this gallery.
