Sunday night, El Pasoans gathered at Ascarate Lake for the virtual groundbreaking for the El Paso County Community Healing Garden, as well as the Interfaith Celebration of Life and Healing ahead of Monday’s anniversary of the August 3 Walmart massacre.
The ceremony was attended by relatives, families, and friends of the victims, as well as select El Paso-area officials and religious leaders. After the ceremony, the park was opened to the public for a drive-through viewing of the memorials.
Our very own Andres Acosta was there and we bring you his view of the ceremony, as well as the drive-through service via this gallery.
