Gallery+Video: Ponder Park August 3rd Memorial; El Paso’s Star flashes to honor victms

As part of the August 3rd memorials, El Pasoans made their way to the the site of the first organized memorial ceremony site – Ponder Park – to remember those lost a year ago.

The Ponder Park Memorial grew out of the need to preserve the original items set up behind the Cielo Vista Walmart and maintain a memorial for all to access easily.

Throughout the day, residents arrived at the memorial and left heartfelt items in, on and around the wall.  They also tied orange ‘El Paso Strong’ ribbons, out of respect for the victims of the shooting, to the wall.

Our very own Andres Acosta was there and we bring you his view of the memorial via this gallery.
