Game in Many Pics: ‘Texas Strong’ Game – Eastwood vs Plano at the Star in Frisco

The Eastwood Troopers loaded up the buses and headed East – to the Star in Frisco, Texas – where they had a long awaited appointment with the Plano Wildcats Thursday night.

Joining the Troopers on their journey were the normal contingent of fans, boosters, the band, cheer squad and the Trooperettes, with two more notable additions – they carried the resilient might of the City of El Paso with them, as well as spirit of their fallen former teammate Eddie Cruz.

With both the Trooper and Wildcat bands joining to play the Eastwood Fight Song and both teams intermingled during the National Anthem, it was clear this would be more than just a regular high school football game.

While Plano would be marked as the victor in this contest, dubbed the ‘Texas Strong’ Game, it was clear that unity won out over hate Thursday night.

Our very own Andres ‘Ace’ Acosta was there and we bring you his view in this ‘Game in Many Pics’
