Texas Department of Transportation officials announced the new set of detours and road closures starting Monday, March 20th.
I-10 & Mesa
Continuous – through Friday, March 24
- The right turn-only lane on eastbound North Mesa St (SH 20) is closed between Osborne Dr and South Desert Blvd.
- The right through lane on eastbound North Mesa St (SH 20) will close between Osborne Dr and South Desert Blvd, but only when necessary and only during the day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Daytime – Monday, March 20 through Friday, March 24
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day
- The right lane on eastbound North Mesa St (SH 20) will close between Osborne Dr and Remcon Cir.
This closure is required to accommodate follow-up work related to the March 12th demolition of the I-10 East Overpass. Crews will be hauling away rubble and removing final column footings. [Map 1]
Overnight – Monday, March 20 and Tuesday, March 21
9 p.m. each night to 6 a.m. each morning
- I-10 Eastbound will reduce to one lane between Thorn Ave and North Mesa St (SH 20).

I-10 & Sunland
Overnight – The following closures will go into effect at 9 p.m. each night, re-opening at 6 a.m. each morning:
- Sunday, March 19 through Thursday, March 23 – The Sunland Park Flyover Entrance Ramp to I-10 Eastbound will close.
- Sunday, March 19 and Monday, March 20 – The Sunland Entrance Ramp to I-10 Westbound will close.
- Thursday, March 23 – The southbound lanes on Sunland Park Drive (southbound means traveling toward Doniphan Dr) will reduce to one lane where Sunland Park Drive passes over I-10.
Crews are conducting prep work for the eventual removal of the Sunland Flyover Ramp. [Map 2]

- The two-lane Sunland Exit Ramp (Exit 13, Westbound) will reduce to one lane. [No Map]

- I-10 in both directions will reduce to two lanes between Buena Vista and the Sunland Park Overpass. [Map 2]
Overnight – Tuesday, March 21 through Thursday, March 23
9 p.m. each night to 6 a.m. each morning
- I-10 Eastbound will reduce to one lane between the Sunland Park Overpass and Buena Vista.
Crews will be re-striping lanes. [Map 3]
Overnight – Wednesday, March 22 and Thursday, March 23
9 p.m. each night to 6 a.m. each morning
- I-10 Westbound will reduce to one lane between the Sunland Park Overpass and about 100 feet past the Resler Flyover Bridge.
- The Sunland Park Entrance Ramp to I-10 Westbound will close.
- The Resler Exit Ramp (Exit 12) from I-10 West will close.
