On Tuesday, several hospitals within The Hospitals of Providence received an “A” rating in The Leapfrog Group’s Fall 2020 Safety Score.
Officials with the group said the scores demonstrated the healthcare network’s ongoing commitment to delivering “safe, high-quality patient care across the entire region.”
The hospitals honored were The Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus, Sierra Campus and Transmountain Campus.
“Such ratings demonstrate The Hospitals of Providence’s tireless commitment to our patient’s safety and reaffirm the difference our team continues to make in the lives of those who need us most – particularly during this pandemic.” said Nicholas Tejeda, Group CEO for The Hospitals of Providence.
“Whether it is The Leapfrog Group or any measure of success, the pathway remains the same: teamwork, skill, compassion and unrelenting effort – within each hospital and between our hospitals. Every day, the members of our team come to work and place patient safety as a top priority in the care they deliver to their friends, families and neighbors. We are proud of our team and thankful to the El Paso community for continuing to entrust us with their healthcare.”
The Leapfrog Group Hospital Safety Score is a rating system designed to give consumers information they can use to make healthcare decisions for themselves or a loved one.
The Leapfrog Group assigns A, B, C, D and F grades to more than 2,600 U.S. hospitals based on their ability and overall performance in keeping patients safe and preventing errors, injuries, accidents and infections.
