Hospitals of Providence Expands, Acquires Neighbors Emergency Center in East El Paso

Officials with the Hospitals of Providence announced Thursday day the acquisition of the off-campus Neighbors Emergency Center located at Edgemere and Loop 375, in east El Paso.

“We have seen tremendous growth here in east El Paso,” said Monica Vargas-Mahar, Chief Executive Officer for The Hospitals of Providence East Campus and Market Chief Operating Officer for The Hospitals of Providence.

“We are excited to provide our community with another access point so that our patients and families can get the care they need close to home.”

The Hospitals of Providence Emergency Room Edgemere officially opened its doors November 8, 2018.   The facility provides 24-hour emergency care in east El Paso with seven private treatment rooms, including one designated for the care of children.

The emergency room offers specially trained ER nurses and physicians on-site at all times and is equipped to provide emergency services, diagnostic imaging and lab services.

“We look forward to growing with our community and providing the highest quality of care,” said Vargas-Mahar.

This facility is located at 12011 Edgemere Boulevard. To learn more about The Hospitals of Providence, visit their website.
