The Hospitals of Providence Sierra Campus received an “A” rating in The Leapfrog Group’s Fall 2019 Safety Score, officials announced Monday afternoon.
Via a news release, officials said the score demonstrates the hospital’s commitment to delivering safe, high-quality patient care.
“This rating recognizes our continuous commitment to placing safety at the forefront of our patients’ care,” said Rob J. Anderson, chief executive officer for The Hospitals of Providence Sierra Campus. “We are proud of our team’s dedication for making patient safety their #1 priority.”
The Leapfrog Group Hospital Safety Score is a rating system designed to give consumers information they can use to make healthcare decisions for themselves or a loved one.
The Leapfrog Group assigns A, B, C, D and F grades to more than 2,600 U.S. hospitals based on their ability to prevent errors, injuries, accidents and infections.
The Hospitals of Providence covers the El Paso Region to include West Texas and Southern New Mexico. The system includes acute-care hospital locations: Memorial Campus, Providence Children’s Hospital, Sierra Campus, East Campus, Transmountain Campus, Horizon City Campus and the Northeast Campus
