Humane Society of El Paso Reading Program ‘Tall Tails’ kicks off this week

Local no-kill non-profit animal shelter, Humane Society of El Paso, has invited the public to join them Thanksgiving week for the third edition of their Tall Tails Reading Program.

The Humane Society of El Paso is encouraging the community to give back by giving their time.

“Spending one on one time reading to shelter animals helps alleviate shelter life stress while also improving socialization for the pets,” Humane Society officials share.

This event is in association with El Paso Giving Time. For every hour spent reading to the animals, $5 will be matched and donated to the non-profit by Walmart.

Participants interested in matching funds may register online prior to attending.

This event is open to all ages; Minors 16 and under require a guardian to be present. For more information on this event visit click here, for more information on El Paso Giving Time visit their website.

Tall Tails will be November 25 – 29th from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm. The shelter will be CLOSED to the public on November 28th, Thanksgiving Day.
