Ice Skating at Coliseum Starts Monday with ‘Holidays On Ice’

For the eighth year, El Pasoans will get the opportunity to pull on skates and glide into the city’s only professional ice skating rink as the annual Holidays On Ice gets underway Monday, November 20, at the El Paso County Coliseum Events Center  (4100 East Paisano.)

The indoor regulation rink is home to the UTEP hockey team and the El Paso Rhinos professional hockey team and opens for the special holiday event every year for all skaters, beginners or experienced.

Holidays On Ice will run through January and will feature fun themed nights, including Skate with Santa sessions, special guests, giveaways and more, with more than 2,000 pairs of skates available. The concessions stand also will be open.

Opening week schedule:

• Monday, Nov. 20: Noon to 3 p.m.

• Tuesday, Nov. 21: Noon to 3 p.m.

• Wednesday, Nov. 22: Noon to 3 p.m.

• Thursday, Nov. 23, Thanksgiving Day: CLOSED

• Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 24-26: Noon to 3 p.m.

Complete schedule is online, And – as always – the price is only $10 with free skate rental and discounts for military.

Admission is free for non-skating guests
