IDEA Mesquite Hills adds new grade level for the 2021-22 school year

Friday afternoon, officials with IDEA Public Schools El Paso announced that its newest campus, IDEA Mesquite Hills, will be adding 2nd grade to the grade levels offered for the 2021 – 22 school year.

The new campus will be located at 11881 Dyer Street and will serve students in grades Pre-K through second and sixth grade. The campus will add a new grade level each year until it is a fully scaled Pre-K through 12th grade campus.

The campus will be led by Griselda Lopez, Founding Principal of IDEA Mesquite Hills Academy, and Daniel Gomez, Founding Principal of IDEA Mesquite Hills College Prep.

Applications are now open for the 2021-2022 school year. Parents can apply for IDEA Mesquite Hills and all IDEA El Paso schools via this link.

A random lottery will be held, February 27, 2021, to determine which students will fill spots available at each IDEA school.

Students who are not randomly selected to attend IDEA will be placed on a wait list, and the order of the wait list will be randomly determined. The applications of students on the wait list will remain on file for the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year.

If a spot becomes available, students will be selected from the wait list, and parents will be notified of their selection and informed of next steps.
