Officials with Immunize El Paso announced that the organization has received its first shipment of the single-dose Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.
“We appreciate the opportunity to resume vaccinating patients,” said Dusty Warden, Director of Operations with Immunize El Paso. “We understand the demand far exceeds vaccine availability; regardless of the scale and scope, we are thrilled to contribute to El Paso’s vaccination effort.”
The 200-dose vaccine allocation has been exhausted through appointments by patients from Immunize El Paso’s waitlist.
The Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be administered at the Immunize El Paso Downtown Clinic March 9th and 10th. DSHS has not indicated as to whether additional doses will follow this allocation.
IZEP is currently operating off their 48,000-patient waitlist to notify patients of vaccine availability.
