Alex Sheen, the founder and promoter of the “Because I Said I Would” movement returned to EPISD on Thursday to share with the students the message of changing the world one promise at a time.
Sheen was the keynote speaker at this year’s “EPISD Rocks” Teacher Convocation in August, and his message made a such an impact on educators that several schools invited him to return to El Paso and this time speak to students.
“His message of positivity and change is so amazing. We are so happy that our students were able to experience this wonderful presentation,” said Austin Principal Cyndi Severns Ponce.
“Because I Said I Would” is a social movement and nonprofit dedicated to the betterment of humanity through promises made and kept.
“We are changing lives through Promise Cards, chapters of volunteers, character education in schools and awareness campaigns with global reach,” Sheen shared.
Sheen visited several EPISD campuses throughout the day.
