Jenna Farrey to serve 35 years in prison for baby’s death

Nearly two years after being caught in Michigan and her baby’s body being found in a shallow grave in Orogrande (NM), Jenna Farrey was sentenced to 35 years in prison.

According to on-line court documents, Farrey pled guilty on Wednesday in Judge Patrick Garcia’s courtroom. The documents reveal that Farrey’s sentence was to start that same day.

The disappearance of Farrey, her husband Army Specialist Jeffrey Farrey, 20-month-old Blake and 5-month-old Jackson sparked a frantic, regional search.

Once Jenna, Jeffrey and Blake were found in an Escanaba, Michigan motel on Nov. 17, 2013; the focus then turned to finding 5-month-old baby Jackson. The pair admitted, in court documents, that Jackson was indeed dead and was buried somewhere near El Paso or New Mexico.

Jackson’s body was found near Orogrande, a small New Mexico town, just north of El Paso on November 20, 2013.

Jeffery Farrey’s trial is scheduled to start on October 16, 2015 in Judge Patrick Garcia’s Courtroom at 8:30 a.m.
