Jennifer Windle posts Career-Best Scores as UTEP falls to No. 1 TCU

UTEP rifle registered an aggregate team score of 4531 in its loss to No. 1 TCU (4695) Friday afternoon at the UTEP Rifle Range.

Redshirt sophomore Jennifer Windle was the standout Miner on the day as she posted career-highs across the board.

Windle shot an aggregate 1150 while leading UTEP in both the smallbore (570) and air rifle (580) disciplines. Redshirt freshman Isabel Brooks was right behind Windle on the Miner leaderboard with an aggregate 1141, posting a 561 in the smallbore and tied with Windle at 580 in the air rifle.

Senior Samantha Miller placed third for the Miners with an aggregate 1126 (549 smallbore, 577 air rifle) in the final home match of her collegiate career. Freshman Grace Fernandez – who made her collegiate debut – fired an aggregate 1117 (554 smallbore, 563 air rifle).

The Miners have a quick turnaround as they travel to Air Force to partake in a triangular match on Sunday, Jan. 31 with Air Force and TCU. The match begins at 8 a.m. MT.
