Jesus Chapel School starts ‘Go Fund Me’ to Fix Bus Ahead of Long Road Trips

Supporters of Jesus Chapel School have taken to the internet to try and raise money to repair their bus, before a lengthy basketball road trip

According to the entry on the fund raising site ‘Go Fund Me’, the school’s bus is in need of roughly $5000 worth of work.

With their high school students participating in the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) program for competing in athletics, art, music, and academics.

For this season, TAPPS reorganized the district and now some of the teams that Jesus Chapel competes against are located in East Texas, near Wichita Falls.   The post on the site reads, in part: ” If you have ever driven across Texas, you will know that from the far East to the far West is a very long drive! “

The post goes on to state, “We are scheduled to take a trip to Wichita to play 3 of the basketball teams that are in our district at the end of January.  We REALLY need to get our bus fixed so that we can make it out there!”

Currently the school’s girl’s basketball team is ranked 2nd in district, and the team has previously made it to the Final Four in State competition in 2015.
