The Aspire Group and UTEP Athletics announced Wednesday that they have selected Joey Harvey to manage their newly created Fan Relationship Management Center (FRMC).
As the Director of Sales & Service, Harvey will oversee new sales and renewals for all of the Miners’ ticketed sports and assist with ticket-related and standalone donations to UTEP’s Miner Athletic Club.
“I’m very excited to be joining two great organizations in UTEP Athletics and The Aspire Group. I look forward to helping create great experiences and memories for all of our dedicated Miners fans and alumni, as well as growing the fan base across the El Paso area,” said Harvey.
“We are very excited to add someone of Joey’s caliber to the UTEP Athletics family,” added Nick Popplewell, Senior Associate Athletic Director of External Operations for UTEP. “He will do an excellent job leading all of our ticketing efforts – increasing fan engagement, providing unparalleled customer service and generating revenue. I have no doubt that Miner Nation will enjoy working with him and the rest of his team.”
Harvey was previously the Ticket Sales Manager for the United Soccer League’s San Antonio FC, where he generated $4.9 million and sold over 14,000 tickets across four and a half years of service. Harvey was named the USL Club Services Member of the Year in 2018.
Prior to San Antonio FC, Harvey earned three promotions and contributed to multiple sales records as a Senior Account Executive with Spurs Sports & Entertainment. He was twice a member of the $1 Million annual sales Club and joined the $500K Club three times.
A 10+ year sports industry veteran, Harvey graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Mississippi State University in 2009.
