City Seeking Input on Sun City Light Project at Kern Place

The City of El Paso is seeking community feedback on design work that is underway for the Sun City Lights Project at Kern Place.

The project aims to define and highlight entrances to the City’s iconic corridors and neighborhoods to create new economic development opportunities bycombining public art, urban design, and neighborhood revitalization strategies.

WHAT:         Community meeting 

WHEN:        5 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2016

WHERE:      Production Room of the Don Haskins Center, 151 Glory Road. (The Production Room is accessible via the South Tunnel off of Glory Road. Free parking will be available in the surface parking lot on the southwest corner of Glory Road and Oregon Street.)

  1. I’m all for making EP a brighter better place… but as someone who lives in the area…..
    Please, please, pretty PLEASE- take the trolley and i10 closures into account. The traffic in this part of town is already very limited and if this project can just be postponed until all residential roads are OPEN
    I think i speak for all my surrounding drivers, we’d greatly appreciate it.
