Starting October 1, 2020, Las Artistas will be hosting a series of webinar sessions with the objective of helping local artists create an online platform to sell online.
The webinars will take place every Thursday in the month of October at 6:00 p.m. Experts in several fields will be sharing their knowledge in topics relevant to selling online. Sessions will cover photography, packaging, among other topics, and ultimately creating an online shop.
The sessions are free to anyone wanting to join, and the knowledge will be for all levels. Attendees are encouraged to visit the Las Artistas website and register to the sessions
An El Paso tradition, the Las Artistas art show celebrated it’s 50th show in 2019. 2020, however, brought the onset of a world wide pandemic.
The Las Artistas show, like many other events was cancelled for safety reasons. In response and following its mission – to provide art education, Las Artistas created a webinar series where artists can learn how to create their own website and sell online. In today’s environment, this is a necessary tool, especially when artists can’t attend art shows to sell their work.
At the end of the five webinars, artists will have all the tools they need to create their website. Despite not having a show this year, Las Artistas will be promoting sales online by creating an online show with links to all the artist’s websites.
Founded in 1970, Las Artistas strives to provide arts education opportunities and promote an appreciation for fine crafts and art.
