The Las Vegas 51s beat the El Paso Chihuahuas 6-3 Monday in the first matchup between the two teams in 2016. 51s’ starter Gabriel Ynoa went 6.1 innings and allowed three earned runs in getting his second victory of the year.

Down 3-0 in the fourth inning, the Chihuahuas rallied for two runs on an RBI single by Jose Pirela and an RBI double by Casey McElroy.

Later in the game, trailing 4-2, the Chihuahuas got within one run again on Rocky Gale’s RBI groundout. The 51s added two tallies in the eighth to go ahead and stay ahead 6-3.
