Latin 90’s Pop Tour to perform at County Coliseum in August

Some of the most successful Latin pop artists are coming together for one night when the 90’s Pop Tour stops in at the El Paso County Coliseum.

The retro music concert, featuring the popular Latin artists OV7, Mercurio, Magneto, JNS, The Sacados and Caló, will be a meld of 1990s nostalgia, costumes, dancing and singing.

The tour will take over the Coliseum, located at 4100 East Paisano, at 9 p.m. August 23.

Considered one of the biggest pop groups in Mexico, the five-member OV7, formerly known as Onda Vaselina 7, has more than 50 hit singles and released 15 albums, including the best-selling “CD 00” in 2000.

Magneto was a popular Mexican boy band of the 1980s and 90s, behind the chart-toppers “Todo Esta Muy Bien” and “Soy Un Soñador.”

The Mexican pop act Mercurio was one of the most popular group of singers and dancers in the 1990s.

The Argentinian house and pop group The Sacados is best known for its 1995 hit “Ritmo de la Noche.” The Mexican girl group JNS, formerly known as Jeans, rose to fame behind six studio albums in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Behind its Latino rap, hip-hop and house sounds, Mexican electronic music group Caló was considered cutting edge when it first hit the scene in the 1990s.

The tour last performed at the El Paso County Coliseum in 2017 to a sold-out crowd.

Tickets, which start at $32, plus fees, are available at the El Paso County Coliseum Box Office, Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 800-745-3000 and online.
