This Summer, award-winning and Latin superstar Pepe Aguilar, one of the most popular and endearing singers of ranchera, mariachi and regional Mexican music, will return to the El Paso County Coliseum with a musical showcase, featuring special guests and performances.
The “Pepe Aguilar y Familia presentan Jaripeo Sin Fronteras” spectacular will take place at 8 p.m. August 25 at the Coliseum (4100 East Paisano)
Taking the stage with Aguilar will be his son, banda and norteño singer Leonardo Aguilar, and daughter and rising star Ángela Aguilar. Also performing will be singer Christian Nodal, whose debut single “Adiós Amor” topped the Latin music charts in 2017; Mariachi Zacatecano; Banda Azul Tequila; famed charro Tomás Garcilazo; Whiplash the Cowboy Monkey; bull riders and bull fighters; and more.
The son of famous actors and singers, Antonio Aguilar and Flor Silvestre, Pepe Aguilar, has made a name for himself since his debut album, “Con Tambora,” in 1991. Behind hit songs such as “Prometiste,” “Por Una Mujer Bonita” and “Perdóname,” Aguilar has released close to 30 albums. He also released the single, “Tu Sangre En Mi Cuerpo,” last year with his daughter.
Aguilar has been nominated for five Grammy Awards, winning three times for Best Regional Mexican or Tejano Album and once for Best Mexican/Mexican-American Album. He also has been nominated for 16 Latin Grammy Awards, winning four for Best Ranchero/Mariachi Album
Tickets, which will cost $71, $91, $126 and $176.50, plus fees, will go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 18. They will be available at the El Paso County Coliseum Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 800-745-3000 and online.
