League-leading El Paso Rhinos Return for Special Home Series

The league-leading El Paso Rhinos are back home this weekend for a special three-game Military Appreciation Series with a seven-game win streak firmly intact.

El Paso, boasting a stellar 21-2-1 record, will be put to the test as they face the 17-2-2 Valencia Flyers in a Western States Hockey League three-game home series at the El Paso County Coliseum Events Center at 4100 E. Paisano.

The games are set for 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 9-10, and 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11.

The weekend series will feature free admission for military personnel with ID and their families, as well as a special military jersey auction on Saturday.

Chaseton Sare is paving the way for the Rhinos with 23 goals and 37 assists, while Alex Johanson has scored 27 goals. The two are among the WSHL’s scoring leaders. Jordan Hank leads the Flyers with 16 goals.

The Rhinos sit atop the Mid-Western Division, while the Flyers are in second place in the Western Division. El Paso is coming off an impressive three-game road sweep of the Phoenix Knights, winning the series by a margin of 31 goals to 4.

Tickets will cost $5 for general admission, $7 for Black Section, $10 for Grey Section, $15 for Orange Section, $25 for Glass Section and $30 for Balcony seating. They are available at the El Paso County Coliseum Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 800-745-3000 and online.
