Thursday afternoon, the League of Women Voters El Paso announced their 2020 Candidates Forum, set to take place on National Voter Registration Day September 22, 2020.
In addition to the forum, a Voter Registration Drive-thru will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the parking lot of the Alamo Drafthouse Montecillo, as Alamo Drafthouse is a National Voter Education partner of the LWVUS.
The forum will feature candidates for Districts 2, 3, 4, and 7, as well as a Mayoral Candidate Forum.
The forums will begin at 12:00, led off with the District 2 candidates until 12:45 p.m. The District 3 candidate forum will run from 1:15 p.m. to 2:15; the District 3 forum will run from 2:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. and the District 7 forum from 4:45 to 5:15 p.m.
The Mayoral Forum will take place from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
This event will enforce COVID-19 Health Department guidelines on social distancing and wearing masks at all times.
